If you’ve been following my photography journey, you know I began my photography career shooting weddings. And I truly adored every moment of it—the emotions, the details (oh, how I gush over those details!), the incredible vendors, and getting to know each and every couple I worked with. Being a part of their special day was such a privilege. As my career evolved and I explored different niches, I discovered that family and portrait photography hold a special place in my heart. With wedding season in Arizona falling in the busy fall, winter, and spring months, I found myself torn between my love for capturing weddings and being present for my kids’ sports and extra activities. Something had to give, and so, I decided to step away from the wedding industry and focus my photography in family sessions, corporate and executive headshots, and senior portraits.
Even though I’m no longer shooting weddings (except for the very occasional second shooting) I’m super excited when I get the chance to work with amazing couples through engagement sessions. This shoot was a perfect example! We originally planned to photograph at a desert boulder location, but after some thought, we decided on Desert Botanical Garden instead. I’m so glad we did, it was absolutely magical! A huge congratulations to this beautiful couple. I loved every minute of capturing their love and excitement.
