Officially an Arizona Photographer

Moving is not easy for anyone. It takes its tole on marriage, family, friendships, ones career, the list just goes on and on. Luckily we are blessed to have moved closer to family, start new careers and continue old ones, and our marriage has survived and even strengthened from the challenges.  I still really really miss my clients and my friends back in New York. But it is nice to be back in the sunny Arizona desert.

So what have we been up to?

Since moving back we (Laura Kobes Photography & family) have worked nonstop on fixing up my late Grandparents house (my mothers childhood home). We have scrubbed and cleaned, removed rats, knocked down walls, replaced tile, created a laundry room, painted, repainted, tore out cabinets, installed new cabinets, fixed the plumbing, put up backslash, texturized, and we still have plenty to do. Luckily we have been able to shoot a few weddings, moms to be, freshly engaged, and of course, my own family. Photographing my family has been a joy this move as I am trying to document the changes they are going through and how hard they're (we are) working. I am very proud of my husband and my babies, we have been through so much together during this move to Phoenix Arizona.

Arizona has the best landscape for photographers

During our downtime, we love to hike!

Arizona has so many amazing trails all over the place. Do I take my camera with me? You bet! Taking pictures of everything from my kids hiking mountains to rock formations and animals at the Phoenix Zoo makes me so happy. We have been spending a lot of time outside recently as the protected temperatures seem to keep rising to 100+ (yikes). I hope you love seeing photographs of our adventures  because I'm going to share more often. Stay cool out there Arizona!
